What is dry ice blasting?

Dry ice blasting turns carbon dioxide (Co2) into its solid form, dry ice, and then, with a pressurised air stream, cleans surfaces without abrasion or toxic substances and residue.

Another reason dry ice blasting is considered an environmentally responsible cleaning method is because the process uses the carbon dioxide byproducts from other industrial processes. The carbon dioxide is cleaned, processed into pellets of dry ice and combined with compressed air, just like other blasting services.

Dry ice blasting does not create toxic residue or secondary waste and does not require any further clean up.

At X-Blast, we use dry ice blasting for fire damage restoration, equipment and machinery cleaning and food industry cleaning.
